Your job is to speak out on the things that make for solid doctrine. Guide older men into lives of temperance, dignity, and wisdom, into healthy faith, love, and endurance. Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don’t want anyone looking down on God’s Message because of their behavior. Titus 2:1-5 MSG
And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as He said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spoke this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five (85) years old (Caleb). As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. Now therefore give me this mountain .... if so, be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said. Joshua 14:10-12
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. I have taught thee in the way of Wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:10-18

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on in-corruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruptible, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, inasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:51-58

But not everybody is ready for this, ready to see and hear and act. Isaiah asked what we all ask at one time or another: “Does anyone care, God? O Lord, Thou hast searched me, and known me.
-
Thou knowest my down sitting and mine uprising, Thou understandest my thought afar off.
-
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
-
For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, Thou knowest it altogether.
-
Thou hast beset me behind and before and laid Thine hand upon me.
-
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
-
Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy Presence?
-
If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there.
-
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
-
Even there shall Thy hand lead me, and Thy right hand shall hold me.
-
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
-
Yea, the darkness hideth not from Thee; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to Thee.
-
For Thou hast possessed my reins: Thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
-
I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knows right well.
-
My substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
-
Thine eyes did see my substance yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
-
How precious also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
-
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with Thee.
-
Surely, Thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
-
For they speak against Thee wickedly, and Thine enemies take Thy name in vain.
-
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate Thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against Thee?
-
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
-
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
-
And see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
